• Offer attention to detail in regard to client’s specific preferences. Many duties will be specific to the home or property they are working within.

• Past professional experience in housekeeping

• Good listener

• Positive attitude

• Tremendous work ethic and hard worker. Simply someone that enjoys working hard and staying busy.

• Someone that truly enjoys cleaning on a daily basis. Cleaning and the results of cleaning make them happy.

• No detail is too small

• Professional and flexible

• Team player

• Have knowledge of and or research proper cleaning products for specialty items like fine furnishings, antiques, and collectables.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Maintain high set cleaning standards

• Maintain proper appearance of the home

• Performing hands-on meticulous cleaning in every area of the house - cleaning the kitchen, bath, and living areas; dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing.

• Laundry, steaming, and pressing fabrics.

• Making beds & changing linens

• Manage and assist with guest accommodations

• Report any repair and maintenance needs to the employer

• Accept residence deliveries and pick-ups from personal mailbox off-site the residence

• Answer the door, greet and assist guests

• Assist with entertaining and special events

• In peak season (May – August) housekeeper will be responsible for daily cleaning & maintenance of the house while family is occupying the residency

• In off season (September – April) individual will come to the residence twice per week to pick up mail, check over the house and property while ensuring the house stays in pristine condition while it is not occupied

 

This professional housekeeper understands there is a difference between a knowledgeable trained housekeeper verses a good house cleaner. While many cleaning services are excellent for quick once a week or once-over deep cleanings, there is a distinct difference between a knowledgeable, experienced housekeeper verses a good house cleaner. A trained housekeeper will bring their knowledge, high-quality care and cleaning for the client’s home for a long time.

About the Company

Family seeking an experienced, trained housekeeper for a private residence that can maintain the client’s home in pristine condition – in both the peak and off season. This person is verery attentive to detail and will represent the family and assets in a professional, discreet manner at all times. They can work well both alone and as part of a team. They are responsible for helping uphold the client’s high standards of all housekeeping duties, including deep cleaning of all rooms, some laundry, and caring for fine furniture and antiques. The ideal candidate will be committed to the housekeeper role for a long time and will have a proven track of longevity in previous positions.
